reverberations: sound news from around the worldYour very own weapon for silence And finally we at The Sound Agency have found a new product that will help you assert your right to silence, as well as really annoy people. Have you ever been trying to have a conversation in place where the TV is just far too loud? Ever struggled to maintain your composure reading Dostoyevsky as you the dance music channel hurls out voice-enhanced recycled pap with every auditory consumer cliché possible? Ever just wanted to get your own back? Well now you can (but we are obviously not saying that you should! - Ed). Now you can defend your right to less noise with an amazing new gizmo from Cornfield Electronics – TV B Gone! TV B Gone is a universal remote that can turn any television on or off. The instructions for usage on the manufacturer’s website we thought were worth repeating here: A) Point at TV. B) Press button. C) Keep pointing at the TV until it turns off. Amazing! It’s on a handy key ring which is great, you never know when you are going to find yourself in a situation where you discreetly would want to turn a TV off, the website’s customer comments talk about situations where you are A) with your children at the shopping mall when something adult and inappropriate comes on, B) in a doctor’s waiting room watching repetitive endless adverts, C) with Chelsea fans watching the football down the pub, just as it looks like they are about to score (ok we made that last one up ourselves). Our TV B Gones are already on order and we look forward to using them responsibly and subtly to do our bit in the fight against noise pollution. Now where did we leave our TSA branded capes?
