Sounds appropriate at last

The Sound Agency has partnered with Adsono, background music and sound design experts, to offer organisations audio brand expertise and sound consultancy advice along with a database of over 2 million tracks. The partnership plans to bring both quantity and quality to public space music and end the piping of mindless pop (or pap?). The service will enable businesses such as retailers and the licensed trade to deliver sound that is appropriate for a space, its use, the people in it and the brand behind it.

Good quality commercial sound can be difficult to obtain licenses for. This partnership will ensure organisations can deliver intelligent music and/or soundscapes tailored for any location, selected from a vast library of digital tracks, with automated delivery through broadband internet, head office control over what's played, and all licensing taken care of.

The Sound Agency will provide expertise in sound consultancy and audio branding as well as creating natural soundscapes, which will be added to Adsono's system. Adsono's database of over two million tracks includes the entire UK Top 40 since charts began in 1952, the majority of the US Billboard Top 100 since 1954, as well as film soundtracks, classical music and jazz. Radio 2's Phil Swern is the force behind the unique collection of UK and US chart tracks. Further specialist tracks can be digitized on demand.
